Leeton Toyota & The Community

School Tree Day & National Tree Day

“Toyota Australia has been supporting School Tree Day and National Tree Day for the past 15 years, this year at Leeton Toyota we decided to follow suit and truly throw ourselves in to helping our community. We are supporting our local School of St. Frances de Sales with their School Tree Day. The support we provide is assisting the students with planting native trees and shrubs on their school grounds while supplying them with shirts, hats, gloves, bags, stakes and tree guards. We are hoping with our support the students of St. Frances de Sales can mark the beginning of a long-term environmental program, whilst engaging them in a hands on fun activity that can reinforce the importance of the environment and contribute to the creation of a beautiful looking school grounds. We couldn’t achieve these goals alone, we had the backing of Josh Clyne the Manager of the Parks and Recreation Service at the Leeton Shire Council, he made it possible for the Leeton Shire Council to donate the native trees and shrubs. The native plants were also purchased from another local business, Riverina Wildflowers. It was definitely a combined effort from all of us to assist St. Frances de Sales with their School Tree Day.”
